Get a taste of the crazy world of filmmaking! In this extremely hands-on program, students work on a variety of commercial productions while being mentored by industry professionals over the course of two years. Students who complete this program also receive a MacPro and an HD prosumer camera.

A comprehensive range of filmmaking proficiencies are covered in this intensive, four-term program. Students work with top-of-the-line equipment to develop and realize short films each term. IAFT also offers internship opportunities, and often job placement, with its affiliates.

In two nine-week terms, students will learn basic filmmaking skills including directing, producing, screenwriting, cinematography, editing and sound production.

Students can choose between the two-term certificate program and the four-term diploma program. Both options provide a theoretical and practical approach to acting and require participation in public performances and student film projects. The diploma program is more geared to those interested in pursuing a professional acting career.
