Avengers: Infinity War (Action, Adventure, Fantasy)

For all the Marvelverse fans out there, this is the ultimate crossover movie to date. The Avengers allied with the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Black Panther, Ant Man and more in order to defeat the powerful Thanos before he puts an end to the universe. Better have buckets of popcorn ready for this much awaited summer movie! Hopefully though that the action and visual effects doesn’t overpower the story itself.

Incredibles 2

Incredibles 2 (Animation, Action, Adventure)

It’s Jack-Jack! Babysitting is a challenge but babysitting a baby with Powers with a capital “P” is a whole new level. Good thing Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) is up to the challenge. This humorous animated hero movie kicks off just right after “The Incredibles” was released 14 years ago, that’s a long wait for this sequel. Would this film be at least par with the excitement the original movie has brought us or become one of those who fall for the “sequel curse.”

Deadpool 2

Deadpool 2 (Action, Adventure, Comedy)

Hey, it’s our favorite trash talking, foul mouthed, mentally unstable, unpredictable, humorous, candy grabbing, crime fighting, mercenary, hero, anti-hero. Phew! There have been a lot of teasers before the release that practically doesn’t give much on the movie plot however the recent trailer, which still evades revealing the whole plot, showed us a glimpse of his main adversary, Cable. Without giving much, rest assured with “Deadpool 2”, one would expect plenty of bloody violence, abundance of cursing, and maybe even a bit of nudity.

Mission Impossible: Fallout

Mission: Impossible – Fallout (Action, Adventure, Thriller)

It is the sixth installment of the Mission: Impossible film series that based on the trailer shows a lot of character reunions from the previous franchises. For 21 years and thriving, the series may have been a star-driven (ahem Tom Cruise) enterprise but surprisingly continues to deliver an A-level action performance. Wonder what’s next in Ethan Hunt’s autobiography? Will this be the end of the franchise?

Director: Christopher McQuarrie | Stars: Rebecca FergusonVanessa KirbyTom CruiseHenry Cavill

Solo: A Star Wars Story

Solo: A Star Wars Story (Action, Adventure, Fantasy)

Said to be a film focusing on Han Solo before the events of “Episode IV: A New Hope,” “Solo: A Star Wars Story” is a stand alone installment in the series that follows young Hans Solo at the time where he met his soon to be co-pilot Chewbacca and the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian. Here they undertake a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes. With Ron Howard taking the reins after Phil Lord and Christopher Miller left the project, expectations of the force are high on this one.
