 This unique residency program takes place primarily on set, replicating the real-world filmmaking experience. Students are engaged in actual commercial productions while being mentored by industry professionals. By working in supportive crew positions, students will leave the film school with the marketable skills needed to break into the film industry!
Tuition includes a MacPro with Final Cut Pro, one terabyte of external hard drive and an HDV camera, all worth over USD 5,000. This equipment, for the dedicated use of each student throughout the program, becomes his property once he completes the two years. |

| SCHEDULE
The Crazy Filmmaker Program is an intensive two-year program. Each year, students will partake in five learning modules, each divided into workshop and production weeks. While the learning modules are fixed, the schedule is fluid and subject to change when opportunistic projects arise (i.e. if a corporate video is commissioned during the multimedia module.)

| MODULES
MULTIMEDIA MODULE (6 weeks)
Students will learn to design a website and create a portfolio of digital photography, both are skills complementary to filmmaking.
TVC/PSA MODULE (6 weeks)
Shoot television commercials, corporate videos and public service announcements on video and 35mm. Working with real clients, students will learn the entire process of creating a commercial production from conceptualization to realization.
FTV MODULE (6 weeks)
After filming Fashion TV photo shoots and events, students will learn techniques to edit their footage into three minute video clips. Exceptional work will be aired on Fashion TV throughout Asia and possibly globally.
LIVE EVENT MODULE (6 weeks)
Learn multiple camera setups, live camera switching, sound and lighting. Events may include dance festivals, concerts and cultural celebrations. When shooting a live event, there is only one chance to get it right, so preparation is paramount.
FEATURE FILM MODULE (22-24 weeks)
As the highlight of the program, this module will place students beside seasoned entertainment industry professionals. While on set, students will be an integral part of production and have access to the new RED Camera.
*MUSIC VIDEO MODULE (6 weeks)
All students will have the opportunity to pitch their concepts, but only the top two will have the chance to direct music videos featuring an up-and-coming European group. |
