A relationship between The London School of Public Relations (LSPR) Jakarta and the International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) is now closer to becoming a reality since the school in Indonesia has invited representatives from Cebu for the official signing of the Memorandum of Agreement to tentatively take place in October.
The long-term goal of this relationship is to allow seniors in LSPR Jakarta’s Mass Communications program to enroll in the Diploma Program in Filmmaking at IAFT. The communications students would benefit by gaining knowledge about the medium of film, which can be applied to media kit creation, corporate reels, event coverage, etc.
IAFT will send Matt Lubetich, COO, and Caesar Ditan, executive director of sales, to Indonesia to complete this union between the two schools. This meeting will tentatively occur in October with the initial group of LSPR Jakarta students expected to come to Cebu in January for a two-week edu-tour program.
This latest development takes place less than two weeks after ambassadors from LSPR Jakarta came to IAFT for an exploratory visit. The three representatives from LSPR Jakarta were Katrina Tan, head of corporate communications, Martinus Lomanto, marketing manager, and Candy Hernandez-Tolosa, head of the media center. While at IAFT, they met with the heads of IAFT and took a campus tour. Hernandez-Tolosa commented on the visit, “…the experience discovering a state-of-the-art production training ground in the heart of South East Asia is awesome… we’ll definitely be back!”
LSPR Jakarta was established in 1992 and is accredited by The National Accreditation Body of Higher Education in Indonesia. The school aims to produce exceptional graduates in communications as well as gain recognition in Indonesia and internationally.
