IAFT GRAD, NEW BIGFOOT HIRE BRINGS HOME JURY AWARD FOR BEST FILM
Recent International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) graduate and new Bigfoot associate producer Sujay Dahake received a Jury Award for Best Film for his “An Imaginary Portrait” at the ICE (International Cultural Exchange) 2008 Digital Short Film Festival held in late May in Pune, India.

Dahake's psychological drama, according to the producer, left the audience impressed by its professional quality, yet disturbed by its dark subject matter. The film depicts the secret life of an artist in search of his masterpiece. In describing his sinister side to the Indian media, Dahake said, “I am a mad man, and I remove my madness through films.”

Dahake is in the process of submitting “An Imaginary Portrait” to numerous festivals and is currently waiting for responses from the Festival Dei Popoli and the Sardinia Film Festival, both in Italy. Not lacking in ambition, this rising-star writer/producer/director is aiming for Cannes with his next project, a feature film he is in the process of writing, to be shot in rural India.

This past March, Dahake graduated from IAFT with a Diploma in Filmmaking. Throughout his time as a student, Dahake attracted attention for his filmmaking aptitudes. In July, Dahake will return to Cebu to join Bigfoot Entertainment, IAFT's parent company, as an associate producer.
