THE IAFT GETS INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION

The Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC) recently awarded the International Academy of Film and Television Bronze Level Accreditation status. The distinguished commission gave this decision after careful evaluation of school operations that included a three-day on site facility visit.

Since its inception, APACC has continually forged linkages and partnerships with national accrediting agencies of member countries in Asia and the Pacific. APACC member countries include Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, US, UK, Korea, Indonesia, Mongolia, Maldives, Fiji and Nepal among others.

“Accreditation is the beginning of more doors opening for the IAFT,” enthuses school director, Dr. Rose Diao. “It is the essential credential that establishes credibility with other schools of the same discipline.” Among TESDA supervised schools in the country, the IAFT is the first one to secure an APACC accreditation.

Among the benefits of receiving this accreditation include transferability of credits earned by a student among educational institutions and international recognition of the institutions' quality, accountability and public trust. Recognition from APACC is also a steppingstone for institutions to gain even higher, global accreditation.
