| Asia's Premier Film School, the International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) sounds off the beat of the Sinulog Festival by launching an exciting workshop package suitably tagged as the " Sinulog Series" which will run on January 14 to 21, 2008.
Reflecting the country's pagan heritage and Christian present and in honor of the Santo Nino (Child Jesus), the Sinulog Festival is one of the most monumental, vibrant, and much-awaited festivals of the Philippines. Its famous street parties, processions, fairs, and pageants continuously attract thousands of tourists from all over Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Set for a three-part spate, IAFT's "Sinulog Series" will commemorate the widely famed festival after which it is named.
Kicking off the "Sinulog Series" on January 14 to 19, 2008 is the Digital Video Editing Workshop. This workshop will illuminate the fascinating technical and creative aspects of Digital Video Editing and give the dynamics behind ingestion, nonlinear editing protocol, balancing visuals with sound, pace, timing and continuity.
Stoking the mix is the second part of the "Sinulog Series," the High-Definition Cinematography Workshop. A unique hands-on course slated for Jan. 18-19, 2008, this workshop will break you into the craft of making motion pictures, Cinematography, through comprehensive lectures, shooting exercises, and shot analysis.
The final leg wrapping up the "Sinulog Series" on January 18 to 21, 2008 is the Digital Photography Workshop, mentored by the multi-awarded professional photographer Ted Madamba Jr. Under Madamba's mentorship, you will undergo the Sinulog Festival in a whole new light and capture amazing, groundbreaking visual images, using the latest technology and techniques in professional Photography.
